There are six ships daily sailing between Turku and Stockholm and three ships between Kapellskär and Naantali. Ferry line operators' websites are below. Please note, that passenger ferries of Silja Line and Viking Line have high passenger capacity in their ships but less vehicle lane capacity. Also remarkable is that there is a high season in ferry traffic during JNoM due to holiday season in Finland and Sweden-, the ferries and specially their car lanes are booked out early before. Ferry line FinnLink has more capacity for vehicle transportation. There is also connection between Eckerö and Grisslehamn to Aland Islands and local traffic connections between Aland and Finland, but these local connections have very restricted capacity to transfer vechiles, however, the road specially between (Turku)-Kustavi-Aland is very pictoresque. Silja Line and Viking Line are operating daily between Stockholm-Helsinki, both with one departure daily from Stockholm. Please note, that Stockholm-Helsinki is also useable ferry connection in case ferries between Stockholm and Turku are booked out. Distance between Helsinki-Turku is 165 km, mainly motorway in good condition. Also a ferry connection between Vaasa-Umeå, specially nice one for those arriving from middle-Sweden and -Norway. Vaasa is 332 km north from Turku. From Estonia to Finland: Many ferries daily between Tallinna and Helsinki. |
